So we have been doing our big idea for more than two weeks now. I absolutely love it. It keeps us focused and we get things done. The boys are learning so much and you can tell they take a lot of pride in what they know. Sometimes I may not want to do what we are suppose to do, but the chart keeps me accountable and so do the boys. That helps me by giving me that extra nudge I may need to do what I know I should do. The most challenging day for me is adventure day. In the winter it is hard to think of ideas, and I hate the cold. But, the chart pushes us and we have had such a great time.
Here is an art project we did the first week. They are spiders.
This past monday the library was closed for martin Luther king day so I did story time at home, which was different, but worked. I also had them make their own books.
And here is their first completed chart. Note the awesome monster stickers. The boys love sticker time and at the end of the week picking out a treat.
